What does the quoting app cost?
There is no billing in the product today. You sign in with a Google account, nothing asks for card details, and no payment processor is connected to the workspace.
A quoting app for people who quote from the van
EstimateBird is a quoting app for one-person and small trade businesses. It does one journey properly: price the work, get it acknowledged in writing, invoice it, and keep the job record. There is no CRM to feed and no onboarding to sit through.

Quote lines that add up while you type
Add, remove, and reprice labour and materials. Quantity accepts halves and hours, and the subtotal, VAT, and total update on every keystroke.
Numbering you cannot fumble
Quotes and invoices run on separate yearly sequences with your own prefixes, allocated by the server so two devices never claim the same number.
Acceptance you can point at
The customer opens a private link and types their name and email to accept. The document keeps who accepted, from which address, and the timestamp.
Works on the phone you already carry
The same workspace at 320px and on a laptop, including the quote builder, the document list, and the printable sheet.
Any currency, held per document
Each document snapshots its own ISO currency. The dashboard keeps mixed currencies apart instead of adding them into a meaningless total.
A print view that is not a screenshot
The document sheet prints on its own through your browser's print-to-PDF dialog, without the workspace furniture around it.

Price the job
Customer, site, labour, materials, currency, VAT rate, validity, and terms in one editor that totals as you type.
Get it acknowledged
Email the quote, or mark it sent if you handed it over. The customer accepts on a private link that records their name, email, and the time.
Invoice and close it out
Convert an accepted quote once into a separately numbered invoice, mark it paid, and keep the signed job report with it.
Where it stops
A short product does a few things well. Here is what it leaves to something else.
- One VAT rate per document. No mixed rates, reverse charge, discounts, or tax-inclusive pricing.
- No saved customer address book or reusable line-item library yet — each quote is typed or started from a template.
- No payment processing, bank feeds, or accounting export.
- Print goes through the browser dialog rather than a server-rendered archival PDF.
- EstimateBird is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it makes no HMRC, Making Tax Digital, or certified-signature claim.

Questions about quoting app
Can I use it without VAT?
Yes. Set the default VAT rate to 0 in company settings. The document still shows a subtotal and total, and no VAT number is printed unless you enter one.
Does the customer need an account to accept a quote?
No. They open the link you email them, read the quote, and type their name and email to accept. Nothing to install and no sign-up.
Is the acceptance an electronic signature?
It is a typed acknowledgement with an email address and a timestamp — good operational evidence that the customer agreed. It is not a qualified electronic signature, and it is not sold as one.
